Wedding Vow Renewal Day

Hello Folks,

It's a few days later than expected but here is a run down of our Wedding Vow Renewal Day in picture format LOL

The Garden before the boys started to find all of the toys that I had hidden away...



Then playtime for the boys and Eleanor



Drinks at the Cottage before we set off, I love this photo of Nick and our very dear friend Rob.



Nick and I arriving at the church on foot.... not such a wise decision after I saw my blisters!



After the service we stopped for just one photograph that we wanted of the four of us at the Lychgate to the Church



Then as we left the Church Service to the church bells ringing (Thank you Mum D) and our family and friends started to snap away (Thank you to all of you for catching some great images)




I then managed to find my lovely friends and although we did not manage to get a photograph all together we did manage to get a couple of pictures, Joanna, Sarah and Gemma you all looked wonderful and we all scrubbed up just fine LOL ;)



After the church we all made our way down to the Village Hall to start celebrating :)





Then it was time for Nick and I to have a little dance...thank you honey from the bottom of my heart for being you and pulling yourself through your illness so we could have our Wedding Vow Renewal Day just like you promised me back in November 2009. I love you x

Pre-renewing of Wedding Vows

Well - it's almost here - tomorrow we renew our wedding vows!

We had a practice on Tuesday for what was going to take place - the kids loved it. An empty church to run around and scream in... MENTAL! ;)

It should be a good day - plenty of friends and family around to enjoy the day.

We are going very multi-cultural with all the different nationalities there:
- English
- Scotish
- South African
- Trinidad & Tobago
- Cousin coming from Holland
- German
- Spanish
- Sheffield ;)

Looking forward to the day - will update the blog after the renewing of our vows.

A Celebration :)

Hello Folks,

I just wanted to let everyone know of a wonderful celebration that Nick and I are planning...

We are Renewing our Wedding Vows on our 17th Wedding Anniversary on the 31st July 2010 :)

It was the first thing Nick said to me when he was diagnosed with Cancer "when I beat this cancer we will renew our wedding vows" well within a few months of him being home on the road to recovery he said don't you have something to be planning so the past 6 weeks have been busy.

We are renewing our vows in the Village Church then having a celebration party in our local village hall. Me, Nick and the boys now have our outfits and we are just waiting for the day to arrive.

Excitement is starting to set in even though there are still 10 days left to wait so by the day I will be uncontrollable :)

A good holiday

Hi All,

Sorry for no Blog but things have been hectic....Since Nick got the all clear we have been on holiday to Centre Parcs at Sherwood Forrest thanks to the Willow Foundation that give "Special Days Out" to people who have life threatening illnesses from the age of 18-40.

We spent 5 days there and had a great time in a Woodland Lodge where the ducks, moorhens and swans knocked us up every morning by tapping on the patio door for there breakfast :)




We all had a great time and the boys Oscar and Isaac loved spending some time with daddy chilling' out feeding the wildlife




The weather was good all week and Nick and I even managed some time out on the patio on my birthday together once the boys were tucked up in bed and a few beers of course :)



What was really nice for us all was when Uncle Alan and Auntie Grace took up our offer for them to come and visit us whilst we were there, Oscar was in his element all day from the moment they arrived.



I do not know where Oscar and Isaac found there energy from but they did not stop from dawn until dusk.


We had a great time and it was just what the doctor ordered for Nick, Me and the Boys.

ALL CLEAR :)

Hello all

Nick was given the all clear on Tuesday :-) he just needs time to recovery from all the treatment now.

Thank you to everyone who have been with us through this journey life can only get better and better from here on in.

Scan day arrived and it's a waiting game again....

Hello Folks,

Nick had his scan yesterday and now we are just waiting again to hear the results. He was tired after his scan and spent most of the day resting and is a bit achy today.

He will update the blog as soon as we know anything :)

MRI scan date

Hi folks,

For those of you still following this blog I have my MRI scan date through. It's on Tuesday 1st June and I find out the results on the 15th June... yes,, my Birthday. So here's hoping for a good birthday present ;)

Waiting for MRI scan

Hi folks,

Well - I had my clinic appointment yesterday (Tuesday 18th May). All my blood tests seemed fine - well, I presume so as they never mentioned anything about them ;)

However - having reviewed my current CT scan they now want me to have an in depth MRI scan.
I'm on some antibiotics to try and clear this cold up I can't seem to get rid of and then my scan will follow that.

Update time

Hello Folks,

It's update time and what a time we have been having it's been GREAT!

Nick is doing really well he still has very tired days but it's all down to managing the outings he wants to do on a particular week and spacing visits out so he gets to rest the following day.

Attached are a couple of photo's of a night out we had at our Uncle's Birthday Party needless to say we did not do much the following day even though Nick was only out for a few hours I think it was the two yes two pints that he had! hee hee ;)




The boys have loved every moment of having daddy home and the happiness in there little faces say it all to Nick and I.

Nick's hair is also starting to come/grow back in all the places it disappeared from as you can see from the photo (if you can click on it and enlarge it) his beard area is growing back dark but his head hair is looking Blonde!



Looking good honey, keep up with the nice steady recovery and we will have our little holiday with the boys soon. xxx
