Biopsy results

Hi folks,

Just to let you know I’m back from the hospital and the results of my biopsy are good – ALL CLEAR!

I still have to attend Clinic on a regular basis, and will probably do so for a few years yet – but as for the current time, all is good.

Still need to work on building my strength and immune system back up but that will come in time.

Back from Operation

Well - I'm back home.
Sinus flush and biopsy done - now got to wait for the results on the 27th October.
I went in at 7:15am this morning - went under general at 9:55am and remember waking up and looking at the clost saying 11:15am, so pretty good.

The only unplesant bit was waking up to them pulling the tube out of my throat - which was pretty grim... but OK!

Very hungry after the Operation, so they made me 4 slices of toast and some biscuits and tea :)

Didn't have grommits put in as my ears have cleared since having antibiotics for my chest infection.

Don't feel too bad at the moment - just getting a little sleepy and the odd slight nose bleed, so may go for some kip now :)

Operation Day - sinus flush and biopsy

Hi folks,

Well - it's the morning of the operation... sinus flush on both sides and take a biopsy from the left sinus to see what was showing up on both the MRI & CT scans.

Fingers crossed it's nothing - but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Right - off to the hospital now - already very hungry and I've no idea what time I'm going in for the actual operation. Got a mag of mini-jaffa's for when I wake up though - they should keep me going for a while :)

Oscar starts school

Hi Folks,

Well Nick and I have reached another milestone with Oscar our eldest boy who despite just been 4 has started fulltime school and looks so grown up in his school uniform

Pre-Operation Assesment

Hi Folks,

Well - I had my Pre-Operation Assessment on Tuesday.
MRSI swabs, height, weight, questions, blood tests - surprised they didn't ask for my inside leg size!

Anyway - all seems well... unless my bloods come back with an issue.

Now just to wait for my Operation which is on the 13th October. I have to be in hospital at 7:15am and then wait for the actual op which will consist of a sinus flush on both sides and a biopsy.

Next up - Cancer Clinic on 5th October... I think, I should really check :)

We are also at a funeral today... Lynn's wonderful Grandad passed away last week :(

CT scan results

Hi Everyone,

Just to keep you updated as I went to the hospital today to get the results of my CT scan from the other week.

Basically - I have to have another operation. They are going to flush both sides (sinus's) and take a biopsy.

I have a pre-op assessment on the 14th September and awaiting a date for the actual operation.

Will post when we know more.

Wedding Vow Renewal Day

Hello Folks,

It's a few days later than expected but here is a run down of our Wedding Vow Renewal Day in picture format LOL

The Garden before the boys started to find all of the toys that I had hidden away...



Then playtime for the boys and Eleanor



Drinks at the Cottage before we set off, I love this photo of Nick and our very dear friend Rob.



Nick and I arriving at the church on foot.... not such a wise decision after I saw my blisters!



After the service we stopped for just one photograph that we wanted of the four of us at the Lychgate to the Church



Then as we left the Church Service to the church bells ringing (Thank you Mum D) and our family and friends started to snap away (Thank you to all of you for catching some great images)




I then managed to find my lovely friends and although we did not manage to get a photograph all together we did manage to get a couple of pictures, Joanna, Sarah and Gemma you all looked wonderful and we all scrubbed up just fine LOL ;)



After the church we all made our way down to the Village Hall to start celebrating :)





Then it was time for Nick and I to have a little dance...thank you honey from the bottom of my heart for being you and pulling yourself through your illness so we could have our Wedding Vow Renewal Day just like you promised me back in November 2009. I love you x



So that's it for now until we get the photo's from the photographer I hope you enjoyed sharing our day.

Pre-renewing of Wedding Vows

Well - it's almost here - tomorrow we renew our wedding vows!

We had a practice on Tuesday for what was going to take place - the kids loved it. An empty church to run around and scream in... MENTAL! ;)

It should be a good day - plenty of friends and family around to enjoy the day.

We are going very multi-cultural with all the different nationalities there:
- English
- Scotish
- South African
- Trinidad & Tobago
- Cousin coming from Holland
- German
- Spanish
- Sheffield ;)

Looking forward to the day - will update the blog after the renewing of our vows.

A Celebration :)

Hello Folks,

I just wanted to let everyone know of a wonderful celebration that Nick and I are planning...

We are Renewing our Wedding Vows on our 17th Wedding Anniversary on the 31st July 2010 :)

It was the first thing Nick said to me when he was diagnosed with Cancer "when I beat this cancer we will renew our wedding vows" well within a few months of him being home on the road to recovery he said don't you have something to be planning so the past 6 weeks have been busy.

We are renewing our vows in the Village Church then having a celebration party in our local village hall. Me, Nick and the boys now have our outfits and we are just waiting for the day to arrive.

Excitement is starting to set in even though there are still 10 days left to wait so by the day I will be uncontrollable :)
